Like I said before, warmer weather and festival season is right around the corner. If you’ve been following us, you know that last week we did a hair tutorial for beginner boho braids. Now that you’ve brushed up on the basics of boho hairstyling, We’re back to teach you how to do advanced Bohemian braids. Feel free to reference the previous article if you need a refresher.

You’ll Need:
- Hair Ties
- Bobby Pins
- Hair Spray (optional)
Boho Crown Braid

Step 1: Sweep all of your hair to one side.

Step 2: Starting from behind your ear, separate your hair into 3 one-half inch sections and begin Dutch Braiding.

Step 3: Take strand D and combine it with strand C.

Step 4: Move strand C and D underneath and between A and B.

Step 5: Always grab hair closest to face and neck. Make sure hair on crown of head is smoothed down.

Step 6 & 7: Continue braiding around your entire head.


Step 8 & 9: Secure with hair-tie while keeping the end looped.

Step 10: Tuck the end underneath the braid and use bobby pins to further secure.

Step 11: Tug the sides of the braid to create volume and texture.

Step 12: Voila! A Dutch Crown Braid.
French Fishtail Side Braid

Step 1: Create a deep side part and grab 2 one and a half-inch sections.


Steps 2 & 3: Take the strand closest to your forehead (about one-fourth inch section) and cross it underneath to join with the back strand.

Steps 4 & 5: Take a separate strand of hair closest to your forehead and cross underneath to join the back strand.





Steps 6-10: Repeat the fishtail braid on the other side and continue until you reached the end of the scalp.

Step 11: Tug sides as desired for volume.

Step 12: Voila! You’ve created a French Fishtail Side Braid.
