I think we all love a good Netflix session. Whether it’s catching up on the latest episode of your favorite show or binge watching an entire series, Netflix seems to where it’s at. Well, at least until now. In case you haven’t heard, Netflix is raising their prices on their monthly subscription service to $9.99 a month and the increase is making customers upset. But if you thought your only option was to grin and bear it, think again.
Amazon is rolling out their own monthly subscription service which differs from the free service you receive with an Amazon Prime Membership. Their monthly streaming service will cost just $8.99 a month so it will save you a dollar and we all know those can add up enough to buy a latte by the end of the week!
Personally, I have both streaming services. I have an Amazon Prime Membership (costs $99 per year) which includes the streaming service. I like having both options because each service has different shows and movies.
And if you are curious on what you can find on Amazon and not on Netflix, it seems to be a lot. The site also has a whole section of “Prime Exclusives: Not on Netflix,” and the list is pretty extensive. You’ll be able to catch up on shows like The Americans, Downton Abbey, Veep, True Blood and Sex and the City just to name a few.
So what do you think? Will you be a Netflix Fan or Amazon Prime Video fan? I feel like we are choosing sides like in the new Captain America movie – HA!
