As If Periods Weren’t Messy Enough, They Just Got A Whole Lot Messier

In case you haven’t heard, there seems to be some issues with feminine hygiene products circulating the web. Apparently, Tampax has changed their design of their popular Tampax Compax to make it “help girls seamlessly incorporate their period into their busy lives.” As if that’s what we really want. I think I can speak for many of us when I say, “We just want to get through our periods as fast as possible because ain’t nobody got time for that!”

So now, there is the new “Pocket Pearl Tampon” and they sure make it look all cute and fashionable (I mean, as fashionable as a tampon can get.)

Why shouldn’t your tampons be as stylish as you are. Agree? #trendsetter #pocketpearl

So why are women everywhere so mad?

Well, as if periods weren’t messy enough, they just got a whole lot messier. Women are complaining that the new design was poorly made. Reviews point out that the tampon either breaks or doesn’t function like it should. And because of this, women are having messy periods…YIKES!

But not to fear, in case you think that using a tampon requires a science degree, Tampax has come out with a video to help women understand how to properly use the newly designed tampon.

The company has also responded with a statement: “[Tampax] already has a design team in place working with urgency to improve the experience with the applicator. We’re encouraging anyone who experiences this to call us at 1-800-398-3766 so we can learn more.”

Luckily, I’ve never been much of a tampon user myself, but this is good to know in case I ever wanted to dabble into something different. HA!

So what do you think? Have you tried these new tampons? I’d love to hear your personal opinions about them!
