Monday was the first day of school for my little ones, so our weekend was spent preparing. I spent all day Sunday folding mountains of laundry, watching movies (The Bodyguard, Fantastic Beasts), and impatiently waiting for Game of Thrones! I had a few minutes to snap some photos of some of my recent favorite products as I was organizing my vanity last night, so I could sit here today in back to school quiet and tell you why you need to go shopping ASAP!
I have partnered with Organic Doctor and the Mom It Forward Influencer Network to bring you info about some great products that you can pick up at CVS and Amazon and am being compensated for this post.
Sunday Riley UFO Oil– ($40-80 USD)
With wedding planning, heavy Florida heat, and general lifetimes stressors, my skin texture has been going totally crazy. I usually always struggle with blackheads in my T-zone and larger pores on either side of my nose- but July and August really put my skin through the wringer. I developed dull skin that was also red. Tiny stubborn blemishes that, when they finally went away, left pigmentation. I grabbed this oil at the suggestion of Samantha Ravndahl and her 3 Products that Changed My Skin video, and my skin issues we looking better the next morning, and completely resolved by the third day. This stuff smells like pencil shavings and looks like the sort of poison a Disney Villain would dip an apple into- but it is total sorcery and will definitely have a permanent place in my skincare regimen.
Organic Doctor Snail Gel ($20 USD)
First alien oil and now SNAIL GEL?! I know, but hear me out. First google ‘snail gel’, read about the benefits, and then tell me you don’t want to have ALL of that going on? Right? Organic Doctor is a British brand that has just landed on US shores, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have them available stateside. Who doesn’t love CVS and Amazon? This brand scours the planet for the finest botanical and naturally inspired ingredients to ensure that all the best bits of the product aren’t ruined during production. In this case, the cream uses the unique secretion the snail uses to regenerate its own shell to help hydrate and moisturize maturing skin. Crazy, right? Their website has a ton of ridiculously interesting info about different skincare issues- I would definitely check it out if I were you.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($60 USD)
I KNOW it’s expensive, but, what better time to splurge than for your wedding day, am I right? (Please say I’m right. I need validation and my bank account does too). I have been searching for a SPF free foundation for my wedding day (SPF causes flashback in photos!), and I am notoriously picky. My foundation needs to not look like foundation. It can’t be detectable even up close, and this one does the trick. It looks incredible on. It blurs pores and imperfections, doesn’t sit on top of my skin, and has a natural finish. I’m certain that this the foundation that Candace Swanepoel uses, because that’s what it makes my skin look like.
Hourglass Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick in Shade “I’ve Kissed” ($34 USD)
If you like the formula of MAC’s Cremesheen lipsticks, you will love these. It makes my lips look like plush little pillows! The packaging is heavy and luxe feeling. You can buy refills that snap in and out of place easily. Plus, I am pretty sure this could double as a pretty deadly weapon if needed!
Organic Doctor Rose Otto Skin Lotion ($11.99 USD)
Organic Doctor is exciting to me because it allows me to try beauty ingredients from around the world. You guys know how I binge on Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown on Netflix! This lotion has Organic Rose Otto Oil obtained from roses cultivated in Bulgaria, Iran, and Morocco and makes my skin feel incredible! I also love that it’s cruelty free and vegan which means I can share it with Kelly!
NuSkin SunRight SPF 50 ($35 USD)
If you watch my livestreams, you know that this is one step I never skip. I’ve used several sunscreens over the years, and this one is by far the best one I’ve used. This is non-greasy and absorbs quickly, so I never have any problems with putting on makeup over top. In fact, I would go as far as to say that my makeup looks better with it on. It has high SPF, which is perfect for the Florida sun! It also gas a pleasant scent, which is something I appreciate in a product that I use every day.
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlight Shade 01 ($45 USD)
This is another one of those tried and true items that I will be using on my wedding day. It gives the most gorgeous glowy highlight without being shimmery or sparkly. It just makes you look so elegant and sophisticated, which is everything I look for in a highlight. The formula is drier and more suble than your average highlighter, but it also lasts much longer. I’ve had this one for over a year and I can say for sure that this is an all time, ride or die favorite for me.
