This weekend brought us movie lovers our favorite day of the year, THE OSCARS! This is the one night where all of the top A-list actors and actresses get together and accept well-deserved awards, right? Well, yes they do accept awards; but this is also the one night that celebs are expected to be wearing their most glamorous ensembles. If they don’t wear something that is in equal parts stunning, flattering, and well accessorized, they will be deemed Oscar’s worst dressed. No one wants to show up at Hollywood’s biggest event dressed in something that looks like it was recycled from grandma’s closet.. much less accept an award looking like that. We’ve complied a list of the A-listers who nailed it this year, as well as those who completely dropped the ball.

Here are the Oscar’s best dressed:
1. Giulana Rancic
Leave it to Giulana to pull off this sexy yet stunning lace red dress, paired perfectly with her red lipstick. You can tell this isn’t her first time on the red carpet, and definitely won’t be her last.

2. Katie Cassidy
I could see some critics disliking this dress, but to me it is one of the top looks at the Oscars. This dress demanded attention, and with every move Katie made you could see the feather-like texture of the dress illuminate.
3. Margot Robbie
Deep neck, mesh arms, and bright red lips.. well played Margot.
4. Reese Witherspoon
Although she didn’t win an Oscar this year, her outfit won in my book. She went with the classic black and white Oscar’s look with nude lips and sleek hair.
5. Lupita Nyong
Lupita’s dress had a subtle pearlescent shimmer that reminded me of a princess waiting to be picked up by her knight in shining armor. Perfection.

And now for the worst…
1. Chloe Moretz
An enormously poofy dress with pockets… no thanks. Cute hair and makeup though.
2. Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth is a babe, but this dress made me think of a high school spring formal.
3. Kiera Knightly
She is pregnant so I understand that options are limited, but HELLO why choose a mud-colored floral dress for the Oscars?!

4. Lady Gaga
Known for her outlandish fashion style, Lady Gaga definitely took it too far this time. Quite frankly she reminds me of Cruella Deville with bigger gloves.
5. Solange Knowles
Confused was the first thought to pop in my head when I saw the usually-stylish Solange. I’m not sure if her crimson ensemble is a dress, cape, pants, or all three because she couldn’t decide on one.
