CoverGirl Dubs A 17 Year Old Boy Their New CoverGirl And I Am THRILLED

Last week, CoverGirl and 17 year old James Charles made history when he became the very first boy Covergirl.

I am so beyond excited and overwhelmed and happy and astonished and of course, SHOOK, to announce that I am the newest face of @covergirl. First ever male ambassador for the brand and I am so honored and excited to be working with such an iconic brand. I started my Instagram one year ago to inspire others and as an artistic outlet to challenge myself creatively. I truly hope that this shows that anyone and everyone can wear makeup and can do anything if you work hard. The announcement came from Katy Perry herself on Twitter, accompanied by a photo of the two together. James is the same teen who graced trending lists everywhere just a few months ago for retaking his senior photos with his own lighting so that his highlight would pop. This kid knows where it’s at.

I mean are we really that surprised? ?? Shoutout to Carlyn Studios for dealing with my extra ass ??

The craziest part is that this kid has only been doing makeup for a year. Talk about talent!

I am so thrilled that major brands are embracing men wearing make up. James will be a role model to boys everywhere, and CoverGirl chose wisely.
