Welcome back to another edition of monthly favorites. A thing all beauty content creators look forward to. Tonight at 9pm EST, I will be demonstrating all of these products live on the Poise and Purpose Facebook Page, but in case you miss it- the video will be embedded at the bottom of this post once the stream ends! Here we go!
Smashbox Primer Oil
This Primer Oil from Smashbox has been a total game changer for me. My skin is always moisturized and exfoliated thanks to my skin care routine, but the second I put on foundation, I look SO DRY. So I have to choose between the lesser of two evils- Dry perfect skin, or glowy skin with a bit of discoloration? When I use this primer oil before my foundation, I don’t have to choose anymore! I love that it works well with my Benefit Porefessional, and my base products without pilling. It is a bit pricy, but I’m finding it hard to regret it when I’m too busy checking out my lovely skin.
Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
This is another big spender but a tiny bit of this Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer goes a ridiculously long way. The first few times I used this I put wayyyyy too much on the back of my hand. This is a tinted moisturizer, but in my opinion, the opacity is that of a medium coverage foundation. This covers up any redness and skin discoloration, although it doesn’t fully cover stubborn blemishes. The finish is very natural. This, coupled with the primer oil and the product I’m going to talk about next, makes my skin look totally flawless, even in a magnified mirror of shame!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light
This Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light is widely known as highlighting powder, but it is meant for use all over your face as a finishing powder. This has tiny reflects in it that don’t look at all sparkly or shimmery, but blur your pores instead and make your skin radiant! I even use this as an eyelid base shadow because it blurs my tiny developing eyelid wrinkles. I apply this with a powder brush using patting motions, and then dab over top with a slightly damp beauty blender
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer
Before I say anything else, I just want to throw it out there, that this Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer smells like straight spray paint. Fortunately, the scent goes away immediately and the finish is gorgeous. The applicator is everything I want a concealer applicator to be, the consistency of the product is thin and blendable, and it doesn’t cake up under my eyes or settle in my lines, and a tiny but goes a really really long way. I daresay I like this better than my Nars Radiant Creamer Concealer!
Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette
This Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette is 5 dollars and will for sure end up being one of your favorite palettes EVER. That bottom right shade is the prettiest Blue-Brown Duo chrome and the green shade has the loveliest gold shimmer. You can easily create a daytime and evening look with this one palette, and she shades rival high end formulas in my opinion.
Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow
These are new Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows from Stila and it’s safe to say that I need them in every single color. I have worn this at every available opportunity for me to wear glitter. These are not for the faint of heart, guys. They are GLIT-TER-RRY. I apply them to my lid straight from the want, give it a few minutes to dry down a but, and then blend out and disperse the edges with a brush. The glitter does not fall out of flake off throughout the day. They also look dope as eyeliner!
Esqido Limited Edition Lash Kit in Doves Wing
By now everyone is aware of how much I LOVE Esqido lashes and their latex free companion lash glue. This limited edition kit includes their three best selling lashes and a tube of the lash glue! Last month I got caught in the rain and wind for hours and my lashes stayed put ALLLLLLL DAAYYYYY. If you want something more dramatic- their Dove’s Wing collection includes their Noire Collection. Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Tuscany
I received this Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Tuscany while I was at Generation Beauty last month, and it has become a necessity for me since the first application. I generally really dislike liquid lipsticks, but this formula doesn’t dry my lips out like crazy. It dries down just enough to be smudge proof, but not kiss proof, which is my preferred formula. I got three more shades of this that I can’t wait ti share with you because I love them so much! You can get a 30% discount on the Ofra website by using the code KALEIGH30 at checkout!
