Nothing is worse than waking up in the morning only to see that your beautiful bouncy curls from yesterday are flat and limp. When you don’t have time to re-curl an entire head of curls, the easiest thing to do is to throw it up into a bun–or is it? Here is a chic way to get the most out of your second day curls.
Curl any unruly pieces
Sometimes when we sleep on your curls, the can end up bunchy, frizzy, or just weird. Fix any crazy pieces by curling them quickly with an iron.
Pin the top section back, and braid
Fishtail braid the section above your ear. Tie it off with an elastic and loosen it up with your fingers
Repeat on opposite side
Place headband OVER your hair
Be sure to leave the front sections out.
Starting at the front, wind the hair around the band
This part is tricky. It will feel loose and messy, and that’s okay. There is a video below if this seems a little confusing.
Tuck all the hair into the back
You should have a nice little pouch to tuck the rest of your hair into. The braids should still be out.
Tuck braids in
You want them to stay a little visible. This gives it a nice boho vibe.
Pin hair into submission
Loosen and tuck in where needed
Curl face framing sections, and you’re all set!
That’s it! Check out the video below for a live play by play, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
