Mornings are rough so you always want to make sure you get off on the right start. After all, the morning is the beginning of a new day and an awful one, can make the entire day terrible too. So suck it up and by suck it up, I mean suck up this Morning Berry Burst Smoothie. It’s packed full of flavor and goodness your body needs to start the day right.
What You Will Need to Make A Morning Berry Burst Smoothie:
- 1.5 cups fresh baby greens
- Juice from half a large sweet grapefruit
- 2 cups frozen fruit (for this one I used cherries, cranberries, strawberries, blueberries with a little big of frozen kale mixed in)
- Blender
How to Make A Morning Berry Burst Smoothie:
Rinse the greens and toss them into the bottom of the blender.
Rinse the berries and allow them to sit for about 10 minutes before blending.
Slice the grapefruit and squeeze the juice into the blender or peel half and toss the whole fruit piece in for added fiber-just be sure to remove the seeds. Blend on high until completely smooth and you have the consistency you prefer. I tend to like my smoothies around the midpoint for thickness. If preferred you can add a bit of warm water to thin it out or more frozen fruit for a thicker smoothie. Either way, this is a fantastic start to any day or a great way to recharge in the afternoon. This makes one large meal replacing smoothie or two smaller snack sized ones.
