There are many things I will do this in world but catching and releasing spiders is NOT one of them. I am the person who grabs my big old bottle of Lysol spray and sprays using the “stream” setting from a good 10 foot distance until at least half the bottle is gone. Sure, I leave a puddle but when I am done, the spider is dead and it stays that way until my husband or one of my boys will pick it up for me. Yes, I am that afraid of spiders and if you are too, there is good news because you can now get over your fear of spiders like a boss!
How you ask? Well, there is a nifty new little product called My Critter Catcher. Say, what?
Now, this product can be brilliant especially if you can bribe your kids to use it to grab the spiders. Heck, you could even turn it into a game like “Hey kids, find all the spiders you can in the house and get them outside”. However, will I personally use it? NO NO NO.
You see, the handle needs to be about 3 feet longer especially if I have to get near big spiders like shown in the video above. Not to mention, what happens if your friendly little spider lands on the handle of this critter catcher? I am guessing in that case you’d go back to using the boot, right?
For now, I will stick with the spraying at a safe distance. But I am curious to hear what you all think about this… Is it something you will use in or around your home? You can check out the My Critter Catcher Website here.
