I had to have an emergency cesarean with my son. Out first night home, I was terrified of opening my incision by accident, and generally exhausted and stressed from delivery. My fiancé and I sat in our bed with our beautiful baby, just talking to him and taking it all in. All of a sudden, the baby ripped a huge man-sized fart that surprised himso much he nearly cried. My fiancé was so surprised he jumped out of the bed, and I just sat there laughing ’til I had tears streaming down my face. Moral of the story- even when your legs are swollen and you just had surgery- farts are funny.
This little guy, Mareto, is responsible for making me choke on my coffee this morning. If there is anything funnier than farts- it’s babies surprised by their own farts. The look on his face just kills me! Check it out:

His face goes from surprised and scared, to confused and bewildered. Once he see’s his mommy laugh, he laughs too, and it melts my heart.

We had company over, and I ran our little guy back to his room where I could change his poopy diaper real quick. I lay him down get him unsnapped and he lets this large, loud and long fart. Taken back by surprise, it took me a second to recognize That the adult sounding fart had just echoed through our house on the baby monitors in the front room where our guests were. I was mortified! We laughed about it now, and they claim I am just, “blaming the baby” but it really was him!
