Just imagine if- after a long and tedious day at work, you could stop by a cozy little café for your favorite coffee, and your favorite book and just unwind for a little while. Now take that little daydream and add in some cuddly, furry, purry kitties.
That sounds like my kind of party. The good news is, that cat cafe’s have been around for years in Japan, so that means….yep. You guessed it. Cat Cafe’s are the next big thing in the states, and it’s going to be pawsome!
Lastly- there is unlimited potential for adorable restaurant names! Here are just a few cat café names that already exist in the US:
KitTea in San Fransico, CA.
“KitTea is the first cat cafe in San Francisco! We’re a unique cafe experience dedicated to enriching the interactions between humans and adoptable felines in a relaxing environment. Slow down, sip on some tea, and support the welfare of cats in the community.
We provide high-quality care to our adoptable felines and work with local cat rescue Wonder Cat Rescue to find every cat a forever home at each cat’s own pace.”
Purrington’s Cat Lounge in Portland, OR.
“At Purringtons, our mission is to provide a clean and stress free environment for the cats while they wait to be adopted. This also allows prospective adopters to interact with the cats in a different way than at an animal shelter. Our building is split into two different spaces. On one side is the “cafe” and on the other, the Cat Lounge. There is a wall separating both spaces with a window view from the cafe into the lounge.”
Meowtropolitan in Seattle, WA.
“Seattle loves coffee. Seattle loves cats. We’re putting coffee and cats together in one place.
We want to be not only a cafe, but a community hub. We want you to come hang out during lunch, after work, or on a rainy weekend. Seattle Meowtropolitan is a place for people to feel comfortable and enjoy the company of 10 – 15 cats.”
