An Avocado Smoothie is a great way to start the day off right.  It’s super creamy and has just the right amount of sweetness from local honey.

This Avocado Smoothie is a delicious and healthy way to start your day off.

I love making smoothies for breakfast. It’s such a healthy way to start off my morning. Avocados are a great source of omega-3, dietary fiber, vitamins B6, C, E and K and potassium.  They are also a great source of folate, which is important for pregnant and nursing mamas. I don’t know if I have ever made a creamier smoothie and this one. The avocado, banana, and yogurt blend together to make a truly dreamy smoothie. Did you know that using local honey can actually help fight seasonal allergies?  This is a great way to support your body AND small local farms.

If you’ve got a hectic morning like I often do, make up a bigger batch of this Avocado Smoothie mixture.  Portion it out into freezer-safe mason jars, leaving 1-inch head space.  Secure the lids tightly and freeze.  At night, take one smoothie out of the freezer and put it in the refrigerator.  In the morning, you can just grab and go!  It’s a great time saver for those busy mornings.
