There are so many websites and articles that promise free beauty products only to tell you later that you a.) have to refer ten friends, b.) have to send in a mail in rebate and complete ten quizzes, or c.) offer your first born child. You will find none of that here. I’m going to show you how you can get free full-sized beauty products. Too good to be true? I think not.
I should start out by saying that everyone who reads this post is going to think it’s totally sponsored. It’s not. There are no affiliate or referral links.
The answer is Ulta’s rewards program. Everyone knows that I love Sephora, but Ulta’s rewards program totally blows Sephora out of the water. I already have 150 dollars in points just waiting for me to spend on my card. Guess what? I can use them on ANYTHING IN THE STORE. That’s right. Anything I want. Cool, huh? I’m saving mine up to get Christmas gifts for my family. Here’s how you can do it, too…
Sign up for Ulta’s Ultamate Rewards Program
This is totally free. No catch. You get your cute little membership card, and use it to start building up points. You earn one point per dollar, and can start redeeming points once you earn 100 points. Nothing in the store is exempt- even the salon! Get yourself that balayage, girl!
Seems like you have to spend a lot to earn a little, right?
WRONG.
Watch out for promos
Ulta is constantly running promotions where certain, brands, products, or even certain days where you can earn up to 5x the points! When you sign up for the rewards card- you automatically receive emails and mailers. There is always a 3.50 off coupon in those mailers in addition to store promos! During the entire month of your birthday, you earn 2x the points. Wracking those up happens quickly. Don’t throw out those mailers. Don’t delete those emails! It’s worth it!
Sometimes you have to activate the offers online before you can use them- like this one for example:
How to earn more points
You earn platinum status once you spend 450 dollars in a calendar year. When you’re platinum, your points per dollar value jumps to 1.25 and they don’t expire. It seems like a lot of money to spend, but hear me out. At Ulta they have drugstore makeup, skincare, razors, shampoo, curling irons, q-tips, and toiletries. I just make sure to purchase all of those products that I would normally just get at the grocery store at Ulta instead! When you couple that with haircuts, and other salon services it adds up quickly.
Sign up for the Ulta Store Credit Card.
You get double points for everything you purchase on your Ulta card. Just pay it off at the end of the month and you’re good to go! Qualifying for this card isn’t hard, and they soft check your credit instead of hard inquiry which is always great!
